Who we are

KaaraGen Biotechnology (“KaaraGen”, “we”) operates this website and is the data controller for the personal data described here. We are based in Kampala, Uganda. You can reach us at joshua.mwase@kaaragen.com.

What we collect

We collect personal data in one place only: the enquiry form on the contact page. When you submit it, we receive the fields you filled in.

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your organisation
• The stakeholder profile you selected
• Anything you wrote in the message field

No cookies, no analytics, no tracking

This website sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording and no third-party tracking scripts. Fonts are served from our own domain rather than a third party, so simply reading these pages does not report your visit to anyone.

Our hosting provider may keep short-lived server logs, which can include your IP address and browser user-agent, for security and diagnostics. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you.

Why we use it, and on what basis

We use what you send purely to reply to your enquiry and to send the material you asked for. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for anyone else's marketing.

Where data protection law requires a lawful basis, ours is your consent in submitting the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our work.

Who else handles it

Two processors are involved in getting your enquiry to us, and neither is given it for any purpose of their own:

• FormSubmit (Devro LABS): receives the submitted form and forwards it to us by email.
• Our email and hosting providers: store and deliver the resulting message.

Where it goes

Our processors operate outside Uganda, so your enquiry will be transmitted and stored internationally. Submitting the form means accepting that transfer.

How long we keep it

Enquiries stay in our email records for as long as the commercial or research relationship is live, and for a reasonable period afterwards. If a conversation goes nowhere, we delete the correspondence once it is clearly finished. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold on you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email us and we will act within 30 days. There is no charge.

Children

This is a business-to-business site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change what we collect or who processes it, we will update this page and move the date at the top. Material changes will be described rather than slipped in.
